It is a regulated industry in USA which is regulated by "Insurance Division of the Oregon Department of Business and Consumer Issues" to make it fair and for easy use by all people of Oregon. This department issues its guidelines and suggestions for the best utilization of the insurance in Oregon State of USA. There are various types of insurances available in Oregon state:-
1.) Oregon Auto Insurances:
In Oregon all auto drivers must have their auto insurance. There are four points to be considered for auto insurance:

- Oregon Life Insurances: These policies of the Oregon state are similar to other states of the USA. Oregon department of insurance is the authority for the regulation of any type of insurance in Oregon. Policies, prices, premiums and coverage depend on various factors like age, health and type of the policy and various other factors. The life insurance policy is one of the most purchased types of policy but many people do not know much about it and the fact the life insurance is not for himself but for his family members and loved ones.
There are two type of life insurance:

This type of insurance is for short time period and is less expensive. It can be annual renewable, Level term or Conversion policy.
ii.) Whole life insurance:
To take care of your family members and loved ones after you then you should purchase whole life insurance. There are various types of whole life insurance like traditional, interest sensitive and single premium etc.
Both these types of insurances have their own benefits and disadvantages and you will have to decide according to your needs.
- Oregon Health Insurances: Oregon Department of Insurance regulates all type of insurances including health insurance. Health insurances in Oregon are not too different from other states in USA. The health insurance depends on the health, age, coverage in the premiums or policies and also the number of nominees or beneficiaries. Everyone should know in detail about the policies and rules before purchasing any insurance policy.
There are three types of health insurance plans in Oregon:
i.) PPO's (Preferred Provider Organizations):
In PPO, there are a number of doctors and hospitals that you can go in need without any reference from anyone within your network area.
ii.) Traditional plans:
In these types of plans, there is no network, you can go to any doctor or hospital and you will have to pay a deductible amount of the fee and charges of the total expenditure in your treatment.
iii.) HMO's (Health maintenance organizations):
In these types of plans, within your network you will have to consult a local doctor for further reference.
